Funding a small dance company continues to be a serious challenge and several acclaimed dance companies have recently shut down. LJD struggles financially each year to produce its NY season, to offer several free community performances in New Jersey, to continue to offer scholarships to every young dancer who is having financial difficulty and to pay our professional dancers a project fee. In addition to our scholarship program,  LJD has expanded our internship program and Student Company to meet the needs of teens in our post pandemic era.
